Submitting Required Documents

Important Notice:

We require proof of number plate ownership and a valid form of ID whether you are ordering road legal number plates or show style number plates.

Number plates will not be made or dispatched until these documents have been received and verified by a member of our team. Please e-mail (speaktovision@gmail.com) or WhatsApp (07712 238329) your Proof of ID and Proof of Number Plate Ownership once your order has been placed.

Accepted Proof of ID:

  • Current valid passport

  • Current full or provisional photocard driving licence

  • Current full old-style UK driving licence

  • Current full EU or EEA photocard driving licence

  • Biometric residence permit

  • Centrally issued EU and EEA national identity cards

  • Current valid shotgun licence or firearms certificate

  • Current valid Northern Ireland Electoral Identity Card

  • Instruction from a UK Court appointing an individual (Court of Protection or Grant of Probate only)

  • Benefits entitlement letter (including Government-issued pensions)

  • HMRC tax notification letter (issued within the last 12 months)

Accepted Proof of Number Plate Ownership:

  • Vehicle registration certificate (V5C or V5CNI)

  • Green ‘new keeper’ slip from the V5C or V5CNI

  • Certificate of entitlement (V750 or V750NI)

  • Retention document (V778)

  • Vehicle tax or SORN renewal reminder (V11 or V11NI)

  • Temporary registration certificate (V379 or V379NI)

  • Number plate authorisation certificate (V948) with official DVLA stamp

  • Electronic number plate authorisation certificate (eV948 or eV948/2)

  • Letter of authorisation from a fleet operator (lease or hire company) quoting the document reference number

  • If your fleet is in the new V5C on demand scheme (“V5C suppression”), a PDF from the view vehicle record service

  • UK trailer registration certificate (VTRC)
